I joined Aesthetix Dental Clinic in September 2018. I used to work in a small dental set-up before, but I learnt a lot after joining this clinic. I started with the basics of mixing alginate and now manage all cleaning and sterilization processes of the clinic. I work towards ensuring a clean environment in the clinic as I understand the importance of sanitation protocols in terms of infection control. I am interested in learning new techniques and enjoy working for here. Dr Nene is extremely particular about sterilization and disinfection in the clinic and has incorporated state of the art technology to ensure the optimum asepsis. I’m the last to join this practice and everyone has been considerate with helping me learn new things and I’m grateful for that!

I’m Aarti and I have been working at Aesthetix since 2016. I had worked with a dentist previously for about 2 years before I joined this clinic. When I started my work as a dental assistant here, I learnt a lot of things starting from becoming competent in handling different dental instruments and materials to my personal growth with development of soft skills which help me interact with both doctors and patients. I really love this job of assisting, I prefer it over any other job. I’m passionate about working as an assistant because of which my urge to learn more never fades away. I love assisting Orthodontic and Dental Implant cases primarily because there is a lot to learn in these fields and I know I have just brushed the surface as of now. I really look forward to coming to work, I have seen a difference in me since I started working here, I am a happier person! I enjoy working with everyone, we all have different personalities and that makes it fun working as a group. One of the most important things about assisting is to figure out the working style of each doctor, it’s an intuitive job that makes the entire work process seamless and pleasurable.

I’m Nivrutti and I’ve been a dental assistant at Aesthetix Dental cIinic since 14th Dec 1999. This is where I learnt the fundamentals of assisting in a dental setup, knowing what the doctor needs for each procedure. In these years working here I gained a ton of experience doing the A to Z of assisting! Not only do I enjoy assisting (except root canal work), I also find lab work interesting and fun! Our interactions with patients are good, they talk to us whether it’s their first visit or even a follow up. All of us working here have a good rapport. My motto is to keep all differences outside of the workplace and that sure helps in having healthy relations with my colleagues. As Dr Nene has been teaching implantology for so many years I have helped in arranging hands-on for all course participants and have made so many new acquaintances. The experience I cherish is traveling with Dr Nene and Dr Khozema for surgeries in various cities of India, I sat in an aeroplane for the very first time!! It has helped me improve professionally and has been an enriching experience meeting so many doctors throughout the country. I have been working directly with Dr Nene for more than 20 years, she is a one of a kind mentors and the bond we share is unique. I appreciate that she considers advice given by us as assistants as well and even puts it into action if she deems it appropriate. She also encouraged me to manufacture tongue retractors seeing I had a knack for it.  She once came to my hometown once giving a holiday to the entire clinical staff, it’s something that will remain etched in my memory forever.

I’m Shyam and I’ve been working as a dental assistant Aesthetix since 2000 and working here has been an upward journey in terms of learning new techniques, handling new materials and implementing newer methods in work. I enjoy assisting Dr Khozema and I look up to his work ethic, he puts his heart and soul into his work which is naturally reflected in the satisfaction that patient feels. Over the years we have incorporated regular use of rubber dam and the microscope and I can see how that has refined not only the clinical outcomes but also the patient comfort. We always work with music in our room which keeps the mood light even while dealing with the ‘oh-so-scary’ root canals. Our patients are so used to having music playing that if we forget even once they make sure to ask for it. I also enjoy assisting Dr Nene in surgical procedures, every time I pick up something new. It’s inspiring to see her hard-working nature that has paved the way to such a successful clinical set-up. A lot of young dentists have been well-trained under her and Dr Khozema and now have budding practices of their own. Dr Nene has provided us with more than what we could ask for and I will be forever indebted. All the staff here is well tuned to one another that working together is a seamless process. I have the joy working in one of the most well-established dental set-ups in the country, I feel proud and humbled at the same time.

I’m Parveen and I have been a full time dental assistant at Aesthetix since 1998. I was very young and naïve when I started out, and this job was my first experience of the outside world, it doesn’t feel like a workspace but more like my home! I enjoy assisting doctors for composite fillings, especially those of the front teeth where shade matching is a challenge and love seeing how a tooth is carved out from a mere paste of materials. Working here for so many years I have developed close bonds with my colleagues. Nivrutti, Shyam and I grew in our jobs together and if any one person is away it feels like something is amiss. Dr Nene has been a mother figure to me, she’s taken care of all of us through our thick and thin. She has a heart of gold and treats even those who cannot always afford treatment. Assisting her is always a pleasure, seeing her suture is an absolute treat. Listening to her talk to patients, I’ve picked up a lot about not only dentistry but the importance of proper communication. It has helped me speak to patients over the years and its very endearing when the patients ask about my well-being. I’ve also learned about newer techniques and using newer materials since Dr Aniruddha has started working. Dr Khozema works seamlessly and when I assist him, the smile of satisfaction that the patient gives after finishing their treatment is something we all strive for.

Wishing you a(1).png

I, Shivprasad, am a videographer and I have been documenting various surgical procedures for the past 5 years. I joined Aesthetix Dental Clinic two and a half years ago and have been recording dental implant surgeries, cyst removals, surgical extractions and various grafting procedures for the past 2 years. Even though I enjoy doing live videographic sessions (anatomical dissection), the technical aspect of this work is what I love the most. I also have experience in video editing and have now learnt to make shorter informative videos encompassing the most important aspects of the surgery. As Dr Nene has been lecturing in the field of surgical dental procedures, these shortened videos are an educational aid. Along with recording live surgeries, I have also picked up a few tips on dental assisting and do sometimes assist in some dental procedures. I like the work environment at Aesthetix and appreciate the fact that everyone works well together and are in harmony with one another. A funny incident I experienced post the Covid-19 lockdown was when we were all suited up with our personal protective overalls and one of our own staff members failed to recognise me. Gratification comes in different forms, one from our work and the other is the recognition of that work. Recently a patient gifted me a pen as a gesture of thanks and this is something that I will never forget!

Receptionist Manisha.png

I’m Manisha and I’ve been working at Aesthetix, handling the reception for the past 21 years. I enjoy a full day’s work and the best days are those when I’ve successfully completed a fairly tedious or difficult task. I’m eager to learn new techniques and like to keep myself up to date so that my work efficiency improves through the knowledge I’ve gained. I like to ensure things are done on time and I’m peaceful when the day ends without anything pending. Some of the best things about my job are my interactions with the patients and various topics that we discuss during their time in the reception. When they enquire about my well-being, it gives me a sense of recognition and satisfaction. My work environment is extremely friendly, we work and live like a big family. Dr Nene is extremely supportive and never lets any difficulty weigh over me. One of my fondest memories is when Dr Nene and Sapre ma’am came with me personally to pick out sarees as a part of my uniform, taking time out specially for me. This is something I will cherish forever.
